Achensee run 2020 is postponed to 2021

“The 21st Achensee Race will be held in 2021. After careful consideration, we have decided to postpone this year’s Achensee Run,” explains Martin Tschoner, Managing Director of Achensee Tourism, representing the Achensee Run organization team around the tourism association and the Achensee running team. “First and foremost, of course, we are concerned with the health of our international field of participants. There is a great sense of responsibility in the organisation team and we know that distance rules and hygiene measures are difficult to implement at a running event – especially in the area of the refreshment stations and the start and finish area. We also don’t want to lose the experience of the run and therefore we are counting on a full Achensee run next year.

Participants who have already registered for the Achensee Run can either transfer their starting place to 2021 or get their money back. For this purpose, all participants will be contacted by e-mail within the next weeks. In addition, the possibility is currently being created to share individual running experiences and times on the 23.2 kilometres around the largest lake in Tyrol on the Achensee Race website and thus network with all those who are already preparing for the Achensee Race 2021. Furthermore there is the possibility to train with the running team Achensee and to get valuable tips – after all the club has organized the Achensee Run in the past 20 years.
