Weather forecast for the Achensee Run 2026

What will the weather be like at the Achensee Run on 6 September 2026? Here you can find the latest special forecast from GeoSphere Austria for the race weekend at Lake Achensee.

Weather conditions

The prevailing westerly to north-westerly flow over the Alpine region is coming increasingly under the influence of high pressure, and very warm air is reaching Tirol. Tomorrow, Friday, will see a strong influence of high pressure, marking the peak of this warm spell. On Saturday, the influence of high pressure will be temporarily weakened by a north-westerly flow, as a cold front moves from west to east on the northern side of the Alps. On Sunday, the high-pressure influence will return to Tirol.

Weather forecast for Sunday, 6 September 2026

Overall, good running conditions are expected for the Achensee Run. In the early morning, a few patches of high fog will cling to the mountains, which may still obstruct the view of the clear sky. Early morning temperatures at Lake Achensee will be around 10 degrees. The patches of high fog will clear during the morning, giving way to sunshine. Conditions will then remain stable and very sunny until the end of the day; cumulus clouds will remain harmless, with maximum temperatures reaching 25 degrees at Lake Achensee. A light south-easterly wind in the morning, followed by a moderate northerly wind in the afternoon (with gusts of up to 30 km/h).
