A powerful high-pressure system is sweeping in from the south-west over the Alpine region. Tomorrow, Saturday, a low-pressure trough will move in from the north-west and a weak cold front will settle along the northern side of the Alps, before the high-pressure system regains the upper hand from the south-west on Sunday.

Overall, very good running conditions are expected for the Achensee Run. In the early morning, a few patches of high fog will still cling to the mountains, which may still obstruct the view of the clear sky. Early morning temperatures at Lake Achensee will be around 10 degrees. However, the patches of high fog will quickly dissipate, giving way to sunshine by mid-morning. The weather will remain stable and very sunny until the end of the event; cumulus clouds and a few thin, high veil clouds will remain insignificant, with maximum temperatures rising to 24–25 degrees around Achensee by the afternoon. A light south-easterly wind in the morning, followed by a light to moderate northerly wind in the afternoon (with gusts of up to 30 km/h).
