Once the Achensee Run is over, it’s time to start thinking about the next one! Anyone wishing to run around Tirol’s largest lake again on September 5, 2027, can start building up their fitness this winter. The Achensee Winter Trail Running Camp from 18-20 December 2026, offers a great opportunity to do just that.
A different kind of running training!
Even in winter, Achensee is a fantastic place to go running. At the Winter Trail Running Camp, you’ll explore the snow-covered trails between the Karwendel and Rofan mountains together. The focus isn’t just on the kilometres covered: you’ll work specifically on your running technique, sure-footedness, and stability, and learn what’s important when running on snow, ice, and varied terrain.
The camp is aimed at both beginners and more experienced runners. As well as guided trail runs, you’ll receive valuable tips on kit, route selection, and safety, alongside targeted strength-building and recovery sessions. A particular highlight is the “From Dark to Light” run, where you set off in the dark with headlamps and run towards the sunrise over Lake Achensee.
Start thinking about the next Achensee Run now!
Staying active during the winter months helps you build a solid foundation for the coming running season. The Winter Trail Running Camp adds variety to your training and offers the chance to refine your running technique and share new experiences with fellow running enthusiasts.
Make the most of the winter to prepare for your next running goals – perhaps even the 2027 Achensee Run!
