Information for Spectators

Welcome to the official Achensee Run spectator guide. Here you’ll find everything you need to catch the action, cheer on the runners, and plan a smooth journey to the course.

Achensee Run 23 km

Experience the Achensee Run! The 23km route follows the stunning shoreline, and you can watch the action from almost anywhere along the way. The only exception is the Gaisalmsteig, which remains closed to spectators for the safety of our runners. Join us in Pertisau on 6 September 2026 – the race kicks off at 10:00 am at the fire station and concludes at the Fischergut.

Fitness Run 14.5 km

The 14.5 km Fitness Run follows flat gravel and asphalt paths directly along the lakeshore, offering a spectacular mountain panorama. Spectators can follow and cheer on the runners along the entire route. The race begins at 10:00 on 6 September 2026 at the fire station in Pertisau, with the finish line located at the refreshment station in Achenkirch.

Relay Race 14.5 km + 8.5 km

Spectators can follow the action along almost the entire 23 km course. Please note that the Gaisalmsteig is reserved exclusively for athletes and is strictly off-limits to spectators on race day. The race begins at 10:00 on 6 September 2026 at the fire station in Pertisau. For the relay race, the first runner finishes at the refreshment station in Achenkirch, while the second runner (and the individual 23 km finishers) cross the finish line at the Fischergut in Pertisau.

Children’s Run 0,4 km bis 1,7 km

Highly motivated and focused, the young athletes race through Pertisau during the Achensee Kids' Run, supported by spectators cheering enthusiastically along the course.

On the afternoon of 6 September 2026, the course belongs to the younger athletes. The Achensee Children’s Run offers distances between 0.4 and 1.7 km, tailored to various age categories. The starting signals begin at 14:15, staggered by age group, below the Fischergut in Pertisau. While the small children finish their race at the Seehotel Einwaller, children in the Kids I & II categories finish back at the starting area below the Fischergut.

  • Achenee Run 23 km: blue

  • Children’s Run 0,4 km bis 1,7 km: green
  • Barrier-free Regiobus: If you are staying overnight at Lake Achensee, you can use the Regiobus from Jenbach to the lake free of charge by presenting either your guest card or a reservation confirmation from your accommodation. The Klimaticket (annual ticket) is also valid for this route. The nearest bus stop to the start and finish area is Pertisau Information.
  • Taxi Kröll: Make your journey even easier. Book a taxi to cover the “last mile” to Lake Achensee comfortably and stress-free.
  • Four Seasons Travel: Take the opportunity to cover the last stretch to Lake Achensee in comfort with the station transfer service.
  • (Toll-free) arrival via the Achenpass: Starting from Munich to the highway exit Holzkirchen, Tegernsee, Achenpass or Bad Tölz – state border, Achenkirch, drive about 17km further to Pertisau to the start & finish area (Fischergut).
  • Arrival via the Inntalautobahn A12 (toll sticker required): Inntalautobahn A12 (vignette compulsory), exit Wiesing/Achensee, Achensee-Bundesstraße B181, after 7km Maurach, in the center of which you turn off to Pertisau to the start & finish area (Fischergut).

Paid parking is available for spectators in Pertisau. Please note that spaces are limited; we highly recommend using public transportation where possible.

Spectators do not receive free travel on the Achensee boats; regular tickets are available for purchase on board.

  • Spectators can enjoy a variety of food and drinks at the finish area in Pertisau. The catering area is covered by a large marquee, providing protection from the sun or rain. Additionally, there are numerous restaurants and cafés in both Pertisau and Achenkirch where you can stop for a meal or a quick snack.
  • Toilets are available at the start in Pertisau and at the finish lines in both Achenkirch and Pertisau. Please note that there are no public facilities along the course or at the refreshment stations.
