The Achensee Run is also open to 2-person relay teams. The longer distance (14 kilometres) is on flat gravel and asphalt, while the shorter stage (9.2 kilometres) features a climb over 171 metres of elevation on a demanding trail. The start is on 08 September at 10.00 at the fire station in Pertisau, finish is at 14.00 & the award ceremony will take place afterwards at ca. 14.30 at the finish line Fischergut Pertisau.

The bib number of the relay runners will be handed over between runner A and B. A bib number band is needed for this. If you have such a bib number band, you can use it. If you don’t have one, you can buy one at the registration desk.

Course

The Achensee Run comprises 23.2 kilometres, which is longer than a half marathon. The longer distance (14 kilometres) is on flat gravel and asphalt, while the shorter stage (9.2 kilometres) features a climb over 171 metres of elevation on a demanding trail.

Transfer

The relay run participants can use a ship of the Achenseeschifffahrt free of charge until 4.00 p.m. for the return journey to the finish and start area. This year you will receive a ticket when picking up your start number. For timetables visit www.achenseeschifffahrt.at

Clothes transport 
The transport of clothes from Pertisau to Achenkirch or Achenkirch to Pertisau is free of charge! On Sunday at the start (fire station Pertisau or refreshment station Achenkirch) every participant has the possibility to hand in a closed bag.

Distribution of bib numbers and late entrants’ registration
After 6 September 2024, registration is only possible against a late registration fee on site at the Fischergut (start/finish line of the Achensee Run) in Pertisau at the racing bib distribution point on Saturday, 7 September 2024 from 14.00 to 16.30 and on Sunday, 8 September 2024 from 07.30 to 09.00.
For the distribution of bib numbers please bring the registration confirmations and ID (copies).
There is no limit to the number of participants!

Timing system
The timing system is run by Raceresult and the “chip” is integrated in the bib number.

Final provisions
The run is organised according to the current regulations of the Austrian Athletics Federation. It has been approved by and is registered with the Federation. Runners are not permitted to leave the marked course and will be disqualified if they do so. The event will take place in all weather conditions. Start times may be subject to small adjustments.

Disqualification
Fairness is one of the most important aspects of the Achensee Run. All runners who do not display the proper sportsmanship (taking shortcuts, not following official instructions, leaving the marked course) will be disqualified without exception by the race organisers. Runners who do not reach the refreshment station in Achenkirch by 12.00 will not receive an official time and will not appear in the official finisher list. They will also not be able to use services such as the refreshment stations. They are entitled to continue the run, however they do so at their own risk. The finish in Pertisau is at 14.00.
The use of sticks and headphones is forbidden without exception! On the 2nd section from Achenkirch (Gaisalmsteig) overtaking is prohibited without exception!

Parking options
There is free parking near the start/finish. There are also other pay parking lots nearby. Members of the local fire brigade will direct visitors to the correct parking locations and it is important to observe the event signage.
